Can you take off fake nails with nail polish remover?

alot of ppl are saying actenone and idk wat tht is and i want to not go out rite now so plz helpCan you take off fake nails with nail polish remover?
Ironically i just took mine off yesterday so this info is fresh :) To take mine off soaked cotton balls in remover WITH acetone, then i placed the cotton balls on my nails and covered them with strips of aluminum foil so it didn't drip. Leave on for 30 minutes or longer. After 30 mins work on finger at a time, take the foil and cotton off your nail and scrape the acrylic off gently with a cuticle stick, then proceed to take off the others. After your done apply a nail strengthener/moisturizer to your nails to keep them strong. Hope it helps :)Can you take off fake nails with nail polish remover?
Look on your nail polish remover bottle. If acetone is on the ingredient list, then soak your tips in the polish remover in increments of three minutes.

If you don't have an acetone-based nail polish remover, there's not much else you can do. Don't try to pull or bite them off, as you'll just cause damage to your natural nail.
the nail polish must have acetone in it. if it doesnt, it will say ';non-acetone';

you want acetone. thats the stuff that gets it off.

okay, if you want to take them off, honestly i suggest biting them off. heres why.. soaking takes forever. if you want to soak, i hope you have 2 or 3 hours to spare today!

heres what will happen.... youll soak your fingers in a bowl of nailpolish remover for about 20 minutes. the top of the nail will become gummy. take a coarse nail file or buffer and scrape this gummy stuff off the top. put your hands back in the nail polish remover for another 20-30 minutes. the top layer will get gummy again. scrape it, put them back in.

you will have to do this a MILLION times until they come off completely. have fun.
I tried once and it didn't work. I eventually had to bite them off.

I'm not sure what they use at nail salons, but it works really well and the nail salon I went to didn't charge me to soak them off.
yes itll help

  1. Nail salons use 100% acetone...and an electric drill, so it only takes 30 minutes. If you soak off your own nails you'll be there forever using normal nail polish remover with acetone. If you soak them off at home use the 100% acetone in a bowl and keep rubbing off the nail when it gets gummy. You'll be there for maybe an hour. The whole point is to not damage your real nail, so be careful if you rather take it off with a file. This will not work on Gel nails that have been put in a UV light!!
