No! You'll make it worse with black nail polish, as it doesn't have the depth (and probably doesn't match closely enough... I know it's black, but there are different shades of black) that car paint does!

No. you need to get the VIM number and take it to your parts store and get touch up paint to match your vehicle. Then carefully mask just the scratched area. Sand it with fine sand paper and paint it with the touch up paint. Let it dry over night before buffing it out.
