The paint is not of good quality. Try painting the edge of the nail as well and paint over with another coat of top coat every couple of days if it's that bad.

Why not french manicure? That would look by far the best. Otherwise I a light pink would be ok, but I honestly don't think any of those colors would really go with a light yellow dress... unless you are going for bright and noticeable. if you go to cvs or a drugstore, they have nyc nailpolish for a dollar and theres a color thats liek a sparkly maroon. i think it would go very well with the dress.

I rarely paint my fingernails, but my toenails are always painted. I like to change up the color every 2 weeks or so. This week I have a light shimmery pink on. Last week I had bright red. I have a really pretty purple that I like to wear every now and then.

This may seem silly, put re-paint over your nails with fresh nail polish and then take a cotton ball and wipe it off. :)





It will not be as clean as if you did it with nail polish remover. But it works and gets majority of the paint off. I would also try to swipe it with a WET cotton ball. Never tried it with a wet cotton ball, but the results may vary. Hope I've helped :DD
If you have the nail polish itself, repaint over the existing polish. This will soften the dry polish. Then wipe it off. Preferably with a strong paper towel or and old rag or washcloth. I wouldn't use a cotton ball because the fuzz might stick to your nail if it starts to dry up a little.
if you have another thing of nail polish, paint it over the old nail polish and rub it of with a cotton ball or something. it should slide right off. Its always worked for me. good luck

You can try with your deodorent or perfume.
Alcohol will sometimes get it off. ( not the drinking kind the kind in your medicine cabinet) :)
Try some ammonia or rubbing alcohol.
take a hot shower, and after a while the steam will make it easier to get it off, then just scrape it off.

It might not come out, but acetone free nail polish remover might work, but may harm your carpet. I don't know if this will work for ';old'; stains, but for new ones: Use a lot of water, keep the stain wet! Use about 15-20 squirts of hair spray and 3-5 splashes of rubbing alcohol. Scrub gently with a small scrub brush. Blot with paper towels. Repeat as necessary. If you have short nails, you should shape them so they're rounded and put a coat of clear polish on them. We seem to cheer the ';shock and awe'; campaigns of death and destruction that produce the wars of greed and corruption than we do the miracle of a marine saving a child's life. What you say is true, although it is not just a modern phenomenon. I have spent years working for charitable organizations . I have good friends that work for the some of the big international government and non governmental organizations guess what? We go and get our nails done, we have dinner and laugh like crazy. We even watch some of the stupidest movies and have indulged in massages. Reason for our own mental and physical health which we need to maintain in order to help anyone we have to take care of ourselves which sometimes has to involve at 5pm putting those things a way and being a little indulgent.





Point of that is never judge someone's knowledge and efficacy on world and human events because you see them doing something you would consider selfish at that moment.





I am unsure of the numbers (3-4%) you are expressing,. where did they come from and what is the qualifications to be included in that number. But anyway, every place you go Netherlands, Germany, etc etc who have somewhat of a more active (but still far from the majority) population base in fighting injustices you see these issues, ever watch European television? SO the judgement can never be made on the surface of what you see people do.





Finally, the obvious question is what are you doing? ';People will say oh that is horrible and then go back to eating their dinner.'; You need to be the one to drop the fork, walk out the door and be the change you want to see in the country and the world. You lead by action and teaching not preaching.


Personal Note:


I love this zeal and it is usually seen in someone newly coming into their activism. But in the end you need to understand zeal does not always motivate the masses and if not tempered at times can end up damaging yourself physically and mentally. In the beginning I ended up driving myself to work so hard I ended up in the hospital more then once and was ordered to take rest.

If my toe nails were to become unruly and disgusting, and I wear flip-flops or open-toed shoes to work, and then my boss sees my nasty toes and decides to find some reason to fire me, then I'mnot earning income and therefore the 10% of my income that I could be giving to the poor would be gone. u might be putting it on to thick. My guess is that you aren't waiting long enough for your polish to dry. Try putting it on at night while your watching a movie. put a base coat on, wait for five minutes. put your color on. wait 15-30 min, put second coat on. wait for 20 min and put a clear coat on top. Wait 30 min - 1 hr b4 you do anything else. if worse comes 2 worse get new polish
Its cheap nail polish, try a different brand.


OPI is good but a little more expensive, also e.l.f. nail polish (online or big lots) is only a dollar and NEVER peels off!

You put too much on and didn't let it dry properly.


It happens to me all the time. Just put two layers on and let the first one dry completely.

Ironically i just took mine off yesterday so this info is fresh :) To take mine off soaked cotton balls in remover WITH acetone, then i placed the cotton balls on my nails and covered them with strips of aluminum foil so it didn't drip. Leave on for 30 minutes or longer. After 30 mins work on finger at a time, take the foil and cotton off your nail and scrape the acrylic off gently with a cuticle stick, then proceed to take off the others. After your done apply a nail strengthener/moisturizer to your nails to keep them strong. Hope it helps :)Can you take off fake nails with nail polish remover?
Look on your nail polish remover bottle. If acetone is on the ingredient list, then soak your tips in the polish remover in increments of three minutes.

heres what will happen.... youll soak your fingers in a bowl of nailpolish remover for about 20 minutes. the top of the nail will become gummy. take a coarse nail file or buffer and scrape this gummy stuff off the top. put your hands back in the nail polish remover for another 20-30 minutes. the top layer will get gummy again. scrape it, put them back in.





you will have to do this a MILLION times until they come off completely. have fun.
I tried once and it didn't work. I eventually had to bite them off.





I'm not sure what they use at nail salons, but it works really well and the nail salon I went to didn't charge me to soak them off.

No. you need to get the VIM number and take it to your parts store and get touch up paint to match your vehicle. Then carefully mask just the scratched area. Sand it with fine sand paper and paint it with the touch up paint. Let it dry over night before buffing it out.

In the last months missbehave magazine they had one girl with pop art inspired nails, they had lines and quote bubbles that said ';boom'; and ';pow'; in them, along with dots of course (roy lichtenisen (sp?) style) they used red white blue yellow and black.


They also had a girl for a ring advertisement but she was grabbing a rainbow trout/salmon? rainbow trouts arn't really rainbow, but any ways her nails were yellow green on the white part of your nail (at the bottom) and various shades of cranberry red as they went up!








Well blended gradients look great on nails to, like fading from dark blue to light blue into light purple fading to dark purple, basically just look up a color wheel and go from nail to nail maybe 2+colors on each nail.





People these days are basically trying to be unique with their nails, I've also noticed extremely bright coors like pink green and yell. but not ike lime green, almost a bright pastel type of colors.


I myself was thinking of ways to paint my nails and i eventually thought up this idea you can use, painted all my nails yellow, put a smiley face on my middle fingers with black...just for fun ahah!

Also put a base coat before putting on the color, and put a top coat on after you paint your nails.


Keep reapplying the top coat every other day to resist from chipping.
O.P.I. is the best brand I've found by far.. it is rather expensive though. Also like some of the other comments have said, using a base coat and top coat will help prevent fading or chipping, and will stop your nails from getting that yellowish tint.

I've found another method, which I swear by it. It is using a nail polish thinner. I'm using a brand called Mavala. And it clearly states ';Nail Polish Thinner'; on the packaging, so it's quite hard to miss. It costs about 7.20 SGD, which is quite affordable. Try that!! =)

from certain shoe repairers ( my brother in law is one ) you can buy a dye that will perm dye the spot you have created. This might be well worth trying .

It would just dry and get hard and it wouldn't come out well. If you want to color your hair, just buy real hair dye or go to a salon. You can get hair color that washes out after 28 washes, or completely permanent. Or, if you're not allowed to color your hair, just buy some of that spray on color or gel color that washes out in the shower.





But yeah, don't put nailpolish in your hair, nothing good will come out of it, trust me.

I would stick with OPI, because it's better quality and doesn't chip easily. Chinese glaze is ok, but not as good. That's why it's cheaper.

Definitly OPI. It is very high quality. When you apply your nail polish:


-use multiple thin coats


-allow nail polish to dry in between coats


-apply a (thin layer of) clear top coat after nail polish has dried

To prevent 'chipping' of colours, use a base shade, apply colour and on top of that, apply a top coat.





To refresh and prolong color and to retain the shine, use a top coat once every 2-3 days (as u deem fit).
Sephoras
China glaze have a fab one called urban attitude. It's a really good brand, to help it chipping put on a strong base coat, two coats of colour then a quick dry top coat. Polish takes over 8 hours to dry thoroughly but will be touch dry in around 20 mins so be very careful after painting :)
M.A.C. has a nice dark black nail polish, and a silvery black as well. $10 each, good quality stuff.

I would think that it would be okay is you use nail polish remover. Once you have gotten rid of all the nail polish, then I would suggest you wash their hands thoroughly. After that, then apply some lotion to replace any of the moisture to their hands from the drying effect of the acetone. That is just my opinion...

Just use polish remover and then wash his hands with soap and water he'll be fine. I am a licensed manicurist and my kids get into my stuff all the time, just make sure you wash with soap after you get it off. The polish will hurt him more than the remover.

A NON-acetone nail polish remover will do the trick. You will want to minimize exposion, of course, but quick contact should cause no irritation. Alternatively, soap and water (and persistance) will do the trick.

Dark nail colors are in style for winter. It can be burgundy, deep purple, midnight blue...i just bought my nail polish from Rimmel, 430-hard edged. It's a deep purple with little shine (not opaque solid). Keep your nails short and trimmed or else, with dark colors, they would look like a witch's nails and not in style.

I cannot find Top Speed in Firecracker anywhere online. I think the color might be discontinued. The funny thing is, I bought some for my daughter a couple years ago and we still have it. It's really pretty. I found one on Sephora.com that is sort of similar to it, except it's not as red as firecracker. It has the same glittery/shimmery quality, though. Those are probably just ridges from a little bit of dryness and irritation from the polish. They shouldn't be making your nails any weaker or more fragile. Well,it would probably be best if you pick your favorite color or a color that you think looks best. For a more elaborate design you should pick one color in at most 3 different shades(depending on the length of your nail) and make 3 lines going from lightest shade to darkest or the other way around. Also if you want to instead of using the sme color in different shades,you can use very different colors. It all depends on what you like.=D

It depends on what skin tone you have if you have lighter skin, oranges pinks, light blues lighter colors... If you have a golden skin tone blacks, dark blues, dark purples.

I am not sharing my nail polish or cosmetics with my mom.?

Most of my stuff (other than the foundation and makeup remover) were all obtained by me, my father, family friend or my own friends. My mom has NEVER bought me makeup other than the time when she bought me some ';starter kit'; which she now owns. Why should I lend my makeup and nail polish to her when it completely belongs to me? She has never worn makeup or nail polish until I had bought them or gotten them myself. I am so pissed off that I have to actually SHARE what I got myself with my mom. What are your thoughts?I am not sharing my nail polish or cosmetics with my mom.?

yeah I know what you mean. my mom often changes herself to be more like me. for example: she's had bangs her whole life, I grow mine out, she does the same. now i cut it back into bangs again just to be different. she tries to have the same style as me. so i find myself wearing ';out there'; stuff (i still think its cute though lol) just to be different. she buys us matching shirts and shoes. even does her nailpolish in my style sometimes. so i know how you feel.





it sucks, and can be a pain, but i'd say just share it with her. the one answerer that said ';give her a make over or something'; is totally right. sounds fun!





as for her not buying you any, ask her to. and you know what, do her nails for her. Make up is kind of expensive, but if you use it wisely it lasts a long time, and a lot of the time has to be thrown away from being old. so why let it go to waste?





if it really bothers you that you share with her, buy her her own. or go shopping with her and suggest that she buys herself some makeup, and you'd even help her pick it out.





-or- give her some of the stuff you find all the way at the bottom/back of your make up drawer that you never wear. put it in a cute little bag and say ';here mom';. and its not that big of a sacrifice, and often the stuff is brand new. for example: you buy a new lipgloss, try it on, and just don't like the way the color looks on you. or the texture. whatever. um, you buy eyeshadow but don't like the way it blends. or maybe it rubs off to easy. or maybe its too dark and you like your stuff light. or maybe its too light and you like your stuff dark. you get my point lol.

How about you encourage your mom to buy her own? Maybe she's afraid that if she buys something without trying it first, she'll be stuck with it and it will go to waste? Perhaps she's feeling a sense of bonding with you by sharing your makeup- OR what if she doesn't know how to use it, and YOU are actually teaching her by example? Oh the positive ways you can look at this, yet choose not to.





I think you are glad your mother shared her BODY during her pregnancy with you, no? That's a pretty big share. I'm not saying you owe her or anything; but it would be nice to understand that she might have finally found a way to bond with her little princess.
