You take an absorbent paper towel and put it over the spot. Then take a cotton ball or a paper towel and put nail polish remover on it. Put in on the paper tower and rub gently. The object is for the nail polish remover to loosen the nail polish. Then it goes into the paper so that it doesn't spread. Be patience it make take several times. When it is all up used a carpet cleaner or detergent to get rid of the smell. Remember to change the paper towel when needed.HELP!!!!! how do you get nail polish out of a cotton rug???! EMERGENCY!?
use a nail polish remover or thinner or kerosene.......
try nail polish remover --';Non-acetone'; --it's not too harsh. Dab it w/ a clean rag soaked w/ the remover. If you use cotton the carpet w/ the nail polish may become sticky and the cotton might shred off %26amp; stick into the carpet.
