Fire Engine Red? It depends on the effect you want. White, clear, pale pink and french manicure are all very good ideas if you want to be demure, but blazing red would look smashing if you have nicely shaped nails.
go for some neutral or white, you don't want it to stand out too much, maybe a french or a light pink.
Neutral shades, preferably French manicure for fingers and clear for toes. Pale pink and taupe will also work.

Go with a simple french manicure for both. If you want to jazz it up just a little add a little clear jewel on the pinkie nails on your hands and on the big toes on your feet.
A deep red is nice. I wear one by Sally Hansen (hard as nails) #31 on my toes and don't wear any polish on my fingers so i would go with a french manicure on them.
