Yeah know the kind where you can see your reflectionWhere can I find super shiny chrome nail polish?
I was looking for the same trendy polish as well, I believe that the stars are wearing Sally Hansen Chrome Nail Makeup, which I believe may be discontinued in stores but can still be purchased online. People seemed to not understand the difference between metallic and chrome when I asked as well. Good Luck!!!Where can I find super shiny chrome nail polish?
It doesn't exist. BUT there is hope!!
you have to go to salon %26amp; get certain fake nails i forget the name of the brand but its only available in certain places %26amp; it HAS to be done by a professional

Is there a homemade nail polish remover?
if there is....
how do you make it? or what is it?
does rubbing alcohol work?Is there a homemade nail polish remover?
what you can do is put another coat of nail polish on your nails and use a cotton ball to wipe it off right away. it will take off all the dry polish. Is there a homemade nail polish remover?
Acetone is the nail polish remover you buy at the store. Alcohol will not work. A paint remover or thinner may work. You could try polishing it off with an abrasive if you do not have a solvent (chemical) to remove it.
Options for ';sanding'; it off are:
toothpaste (not gel)
pumice
a file or emery board
fine grade sand paper (higher the number the finer)
a scotch brite pad from the kitchen
a Magic Eraser from Mr. Clean
lil angel is also correct about the new coat of polish and prompt removal, but it will leave some residual polish on your cuticle and skin areas.

Best nail polish color spring?
For spring. Also whats the best brand that wont chip easily? Any tips to prevent nail polish chipping?Best nail polish color spring?
Sally Hansen always lasts the best for me with the least chipping. Be careful with your nails, don't use them as tools or to pry things, and always wear gloves when doing any household chores.Best nail polish color spring?
Pale translucent pink or pale white. Looks natural and not vampish!!!
Brand:???? that is a hard one...they don't do what they say they do!
my dad owns a nail salon and he has a billion nail polishes. umm, he says that the best brand is OPI.
and he says that the best colors for spring is an orange or pinkish color.
baby blue, sky blue
or a light green
hope i, my dad helped!
the pest nail polish for
spring is yellow

OPI Black.
Well, OPI does make nice colors that flow well - and they have the ';pro-wide'; brush that really works great!
Colors? Well, that depends on your mood and skin tone. There are many resources to determine your 'best' colors, but brights tend to mean you're happy, outgoing and fun. Pastels mean you're caring, more one-on-one and a little shy. Alternate colors (green, blue, purple, black) say you're proud of who you are, you don't take crap from anyone, and you're a bit daring and definitely know what you like!
As far as not chipping, here are a few tips:
First, lightly buff you nails with a fine nail sander like a Sand Turtle to remove any ridges or bumps (not an emery board - those are just for the edges!).
Make sure your nails are clean. Use a little polish remover first to remove any oils. Then lightly brush them with vinegar (using a cotton ball) and let it dry completely.
Start with a good base coat. Use light coats, not heavy and saggy (these will not dry for a long time!)
Wait for each layer to dry completely (maybe 5-10 minutes each).
Apply two coats of polish.
Use a good top cost like Seche Vite and wait for that to set up (it does so very quickly).
Viola! You will have salon-perfect nails that will last as long as you can expect for natural nails (3-4 days with moderate use, longer if you're careful).
Cremes will tend to wear longer than frosts or metallics (it's chemistry, trust me).
Enjoy your nails! It's definitely worth the work!
OPI or Revlon last really long.
For spring usually a light pink, light blue, or a light purple.
One of my favorites is OPI- Do you Lilac it?
If you want to go with a darker color OPI- Russian Navy is a great color too, looks good with everything.
goddess-within.com has some opi polish if your having trouble finding the color you want.
Start with a base coat for your nails.
Let that dry, and then apply 1 or 2 coats of your polish.
Let that dry, and then apply a top coat.
I like Revlons Extra Shiny Top Coat.
The trick is to apply a little top coat underneath your fingernail, as well as on top of your nail, and it'll last you a long time! Hope this helps.

Do you hate black nail polish?
I think that Black nail polish is a horrible fashion invention and only looks good on a few gothic ladies. Do you think the same?Do you hate black nail polish?
Tastes are not the same with different people, you cannot judge people by their nail polish. In my opinion, you are right, on gothic ladies it looks great, but not just on them...Do you hate black nail polish?
No. I use black nail polish although i dont call myself a goth any more. I use it as a foundation, and then paint stuff on it with purple, pink, red, green, put on some sparkles and it looks wonderful, fits with everything.
As for men, heh, a bit of black eyeliner looks good on every1, but just few do it.. Same with black nail polish.
Hey dickwit! I wear black nail polish! Kiss my ***!
...........It matches my soul.
well i hate it too. maybe its just because whoever i saw that wore black nail polish was rubbish. maybe its because of that i do hate it, its very wild and not sexy at all, i feel very bad whoever wear it.
I like it. Don't wear it often though cos it can stain your nails. Each to their own... and if you're judging people by their NAIL POLISH... I think you have some issues.....
eww yes pink all the way!!%26lt;3
yes. my friend wears it but shes not gothic. it only looks good on some people.
Black nail polish is awsome I wear it. But to refrain from that are you gay because what guy would ask a question about nail polish?
Well, I never wear it, but you don't have to be a goth or emo to have your nails painted blacks. I think it gives girls an edgy look. I can so rock black nails and look hott.
I agree! But it also looks good with costumes on Halloween.
black nail polish is only for halloween or when you are doing nail art and that is the background but there are colors in front of it. I prefer Red or pink. Black nail poish is very gross. And even worse on guys i hate when guys wear nail polish.
yes!!!
Nah, it's not that bad. I wear it sometimes and it looks alright. I agree that guys don't look good in nail polish, heh.
It's not a color that I would wear, but I agree, it looks ok on some people.
its not just for goths. many celebrities also wear it like mischa barton, hillary duff, kelly clarkson, etc. None of them are goths.
Black nail polish is for witches on halloween day.
Horrible. It gives the men an excuse to wear nail polish. Very manly indeed.
no i wear blck nail polish with purple nail polish
Yes, gothics love it. Even boys in that category wear it. Ic an look gross out of context, but think of it as some sort of Halloween party costume...computer security

Can I use human nail polish on my dog? Will it hurt her?
just wonderingCan I use human nail polish on my dog? Will it hurt her?
I wouldn't. Although it might not affect her when applied to the nails, dogs have a tendency to lick or chew anything that is put on them. Nail polish would probably hurt her if taken internally. Can I use human nail polish on my dog? Will it hurt her?
Do you buy products that were tested on animals?? You would be doing just that.
i've done it to my dog and it can come off and nothing happened to him. if it didn't hurt him, it probably won't hurt any other dog.
Yes, it shouldn't be a problem.
No I don't think it will hurt the dog in anyway. I used to do my dogs nails all the time. But now she is old and a little nippie. Nothing ever happened to she. And everyone thought it was the cutest thing.
Try to use the Quick Dry kind. You must hold her paw until it drys.
I don't believe it will hurt the dog, people do it all the time.

What do we love about Christmas;
Does our delight reside in things?
Or are the feelings in our hearts
The real gift that Christmas brings.
It's seeing those we love,
And sending Christmas cards, too,
Appreciating people who bring us joy
Special people just like you.
By Joanna FuchsWithout using nail polish remover how can you get nail polish off?
There isn't many successful ways to get it off without nail polish remover. You could peel it off but it would damage your nail, or scrub it with shampoo.
I heard hairspray works. But not sure never tried it.
You could scrape it off with yer other nails or just paint over it too.
:D
hope i helped!
Paint another coat of polish over it and then wipe it off. It works all the time for me.
paint another coat off nail varnish over the top then wipe it off before it dries. it takes the whole lot off
Gasoline?
Soaking in Epsom Salt?
Household cleaners?
None of these sound appealing...
you can scrape it off with other nails or paint over it.
I use clear nail polish. Just dab some on your nail and the color starts coming off.
Dremel tools with a grinder bit will do the job pretty quickly................
sand paper
white spirit
scratch it!!
chip it off with your nails or paint over them
sprite... i think
i just wash it with soap and watercomputer security

Acrylic nails...what type of nail polish remover?
I always forget what type of polish remover to use when I get my nails done. I just wanna take off the polish, not remove the nail. Do I use acetone or non-acetone?Acrylic nails...what type of nail polish remover?
non-acetone...acetone nail polish will make ur nails roughAcrylic nails...what type of nail polish remover?
Dosen't matter, Ethier one....Your just taking the polish off...If your worried about the Acrylic coming off while taking the polish off, if using Acetone, You have to soak it for a good 20 mintues, before it will even come off, and even then you'll have to help it a bit...
use non-acetone that will only remove the polish and not the acrylic

Everyone is different and has different skin tones. Just go to www.opi.com and click on the ';Tri-this-Color-on'; Gallery and you will see a screen with a model's hand and a drop down menu of colors. Choose the ones you like, and you can buy these at amazon.com, or a nail salon. Or match OPI's shades with other brands of nail color if you want to save money.
black is always good... nowadays black nail polish doesn't have to mean goth. it can be really cute.. uhm they make these bright, neon colored nail polishes now.. they make you look tan and they're really cute.. the best colors i have found are hot pink, neon orange, neon green, and this neon purple color.. good luck..

Strengthening Nail Polish that Actually Works?
My fingernails are very soft and brittle. I've been trying a few different strengthening polishes, but haven't found one that works well. I've used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength, but it just flakes off the first day. I've also tried Sally Hansen No More Breaks, but it just seems to dry out my nails.
Has anyone found one that works really well?
Also - what about a long-lasting colour polish that actually stays on longer than a day?
Thanks! :)Strengthening Nail Polish that Actually Works?
Nailtek and Nailtiques. Both of them have different formulas for different nail types, I think you need either II or III, just be sure it says ';for brittle nails';. It is a bit expensive.
For polish to stay, use a good base coat, 2 coats of color, and a good top coat, then re apply top coat every 3rd dayStrengthening Nail Polish that Actually Works?
I had the same problem. I used the Sally Hansen system. It works great!
i use nail hardener by Mavala. i think it makes a difference. you should visit www.mavala.com to find out more
I would advise keeping your nails short, giving them time to gain strength before growing them longer. Keep some hand cream next to the sink and every time you wash your hands gentle push your cuticles back with a towel and apply some cream concentrating on the cuticles. I would keep a pot of cuticle oil or cream next to your bed and do the same at night. Essie can supply you with all these products and there nail varnishes are very durable. All my clients select Essie over the other brands. Jessica also do base coats for specific nail types. Also, make sure that when you file your nails you only file them in one direction and avoid excessive use of detergents and wear gloves when washing up.
If you really want to see a change on your nails, eat jello. YES jello will strength your nails and also taking a vitamin you can get over the counter at Walgreen's or Walmart. There are several brands. Good Luck.
get a manicure and buff regurlaly. Apply a top coat after any nail colour and it will last longer.
OPI Nail Envy. This stuff is the best strengthening/growth nail polish I have ever used. I swear by it and won't buy anything but. It is pretty pricey though, worth every penny. You can get it at any nail salon. If your local Wal-Mart has a nail salon, buy it there, you can usually get it for about $10 cheaper than salons. It costs between $10 and $20. Lasts a long time though it don't get thick and goopy.
no, it doesnt work,,,,,,, go for a manicure
Has anyone found one that works really well?
Also - what about a long-lasting colour polish that actually stays on longer than a day?
Thanks! :)Strengthening Nail Polish that Actually Works?
Nailtek and Nailtiques. Both of them have different formulas for different nail types, I think you need either II or III, just be sure it says ';for brittle nails';. It is a bit expensive.
For polish to stay, use a good base coat, 2 coats of color, and a good top coat, then re apply top coat every 3rd dayStrengthening Nail Polish that Actually Works?

How to dispose of nail polish?
i have quite a few little bottles of nail polish that are really old and that i dont wear anyway and no one will want, so theres no point in buying thinner. i know youre not supposed to recycle it or put it right in the sink or throw it away just like that because it has nasty dangerous stuff in it, so what am i supposed to do with it?How to dispose of nail polish?
Oh geez, it does not have all sorts of evil nasty stuff in it. Just throw it away in the garbage like a normal person. How to dispose of nail polish?
It's not going to spill out or anything. Its in a closed container. Your not doing anything for the environment, just by disposing of Finger nail polish the right way. Millions of people smoke, use hairspray, and dump whole lots of chemicals in the air.
Pick it up off the table, walk over to the trash, and throw it in.
What do you expect to happen? It blow up or something? It's perfectly fine to throw away. Nothings going to happen.

What is the best nail polish out there right now?
i want to pain my nails, but i don't know which brand is the best or what color to pick? any ideas!?What is the best nail polish out there right now?
Basically, all polishes are about the same. Some last longer than others, and cost more. The cheaper the price, the more likely it will wear off or chip. If you live near a beauty supply house (I like Sally, but others are good also) you can go there and find very reasonable prices and so many colors you can freak out looking at them. Also these places have people working there who can advise you as to color - your personal coloration makes a difference. I'm so pale I glow in the dark, nearly, so the really dark dark reds don't look so good on me; but surprisingly, purple and black DO. It's a trial and error thing. If you haven't much money to spend, go with the low end polishes till you find a color you like. (I had almost 200 bottles of polish at one time, but in only about 4 colors. I just kept re-buying the same colors in different brands!!!) It's also kind of important to use a base and top coat, which keeps your nails from turning yellow. Dark colors will make your nails look awful if you put them directly on your nails without a base coat. Top coat keeps it from chipping a little longer. Good luck, and HAVE FUN - that's what it's all about! What is the best nail polish out there right now?
i like anything opi
my fav for the summer is ';dont know beets me'; thats a pink and for the winter ';im not really a waitress'; thats a red
Well, whats your favorite color? Try asking someone who works with nails, at a nail salon or something. They could tell you.
pic OPI nail polish in the color ';I dont do Dishes';
i love maybelline coz it drys fast and stays longer. dark colors r in now like black nd maroon. but buy whatever u want. i mean u can match nail polish color with what ur wearing. go pink or neutral.
esika's
OPI tops my list in choice of colors and staying power
my favorite is called color blast, they have tons of colors and are very inexpesive, and you can get them at any target. since finger nails are closer to the eye, a lighter color is a better choice, because imperfections aren't as easy to see. also, whenever using dark colors on fingernails, do a thin layer at a time, so that fingers look better.
brown
Professional lines sold in beauty supply stores or at your local salon are the best I have found. Fall is coming so I would choose some rich fall earth tones.
i think opi and essie are the best , as for color go by skin tone and what colors you wear the most
Wet N Wild.
just remember whatever colour you use to put a clear base so it doesnt damage your nails...
there is a brand called mavala here thats pretty good, i dont know if they sell it where you live. chanel is pretty good. but if your going for the cheaper side, then try nivea
I like OPI and Orly. They have the best colors and last a long time without getting thick and clumpy. You can get them at a nail salon or beauty supply store.
OPI is great quality and they have so many colors. Black is making a comeback and easy to find now with Halloween coming. I love it with small crystal stones, sparkle polish on top, or those little dacal stickers you can put on.
I personally dont like Wet N' Wild I think its made cheap and peels off way to fast! Pink and Red are always great colors anytime of year.I Like Maybelline New York's Express Finish advanced wear, it last a long time and looks shiny for weeks!
puppy pink nail polish is so in i just started wearing it and everyone was wanting to know wear i got it from.they love it
don't just get the cheap brand, it scks, lol. and black works....:D!!!!
well, you just have to look hard there really is not a best nail polish because some mixtures of nail polish could have a different affect on your nails than some one else's but i like ZOYA, DURi, and Essie. And as for color, if you have pale skin pick a fierce redish color, if you have normal/ fair skin then pick a pinkish color which would be best but you can do anything, and if you have darker tan type skin, pick a bright coral or pink maybe even fuschia. or do French which goes with all skin ones.

You can use nail polish remover without acetone. Use a q-tip and just rub the top layer of fabric.

I am redecorating my room and I found some spilled nail polish on the dry wall how do i get it off??
I need it off fast the painter is coming in 3 daysI am redecorating my room and I found some spilled nail polish on the dry wall how do i get it off??
I don't get it. If it's being painted, why get it off? The painter should take care of prepping the walls anyway.
But...
It's an easy fix. If it's lumpy, just sand it down so that it's level with the wall. Either prime it, or have the painter do it. If you don't have any primer on hand, get a spray can of Kilz at Home Depot.I am redecorating my room and I found some spilled nail polish on the dry wall how do i get it off??

Is it ok to wear CLEAR nail polish if you're having surgery?
I know you can't wear colored polish, and I know the index finger has to have no polish on it for the oxygen meter. You can see the nailbeds with clear nailpolish, and I know that's the reason they give for not wanting polish. Is it ok to wear CLEAR nail polish if you're having surgery?
The rules state NO nail polish but I have worn clear. Wear your clear nail polish, they are going to be so busy getting ready to get you into surgery they more than likely won't notice. If they do, they'll make you take it off right before surgery and then have someone put it back on after surgery, but they won't make you take it off. Just don't mention it!!! You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Peace and Love:)Is it ok to wear CLEAR nail polish if you're having surgery?
You are not supposed to wear nail polish when having surgery! I would not wear it just for the time you go in. After, have your sister, friend, or mom paint your nails to make you feel better!
I know I wore clear polish during my surgery it didnt affect anything but do what you think is best.
yes its fine i still had some on when i went into surgury, i forgot to do my right hand, but its safer just to follow procedure
I don't think you should year any polish, just to be safe.

The tip of my nails are yellow? it looks disgusting. i do wear nail polish a lot. but i do not smoke ?
does anyone know why im getting yellow nails? and what can i do to get rid of it? thank you! :DThe tip of my nails are yellow? it looks disgusting. i do wear nail polish a lot. but i do not smoke ?
some nail polishes make your nails yellow if you wear too much
just ease up on wearing the polish and let your nails go natural for a while, put clear finger nail polish on them to keep them strongThe tip of my nails are yellow? it looks disgusting. i do wear nail polish a lot. but i do not smoke ?
Yeah the polish you're using...and the remover. Let your nails breathe for a couple weeks
You can use nail polish almost forever, if done properly.
You absolutely should get a professional manicure at least 3 times a year.
In between, you must use a high quality base coat. There are some that strengthen nails, others that moisturize, and a few other types, but the most important thing to remember is that base coat is not the same as a clear polish nor is it the same as a top coat. After base coat apply your colored polish as desired. Finish with a top coat. You can frequently use base coat as top coat, but definitely not okay to use top coat as base coat. The formulations are different. The base coat seals and protects nails and color will not leach through to your nail surface.
Your nails are most likely getting yellow from the dyes of the polish leaching through to your nails. Never, never put polish directly on your nails without a proper base coat.
To get rid of the yellow staining now, use a buffing block - very gently to remove high points, remove some of the discoloration and to smooth out nail surface. Please do not buff too much. Next use some lemon juice for a while. It should bleach out the remaining yellow. Try a bit more nail polish remover, but may not work if the leaching has gone deep. It will grow out. If you prepare your nails properly, you shouldn't have any yellow nails in the future.
Go without polish for a few weeks.. Also try rubbing lotion onto your nails.

My daughter got nail polish on EVERYTHING! Door knob, tiled floor, light switch, etc. What will take it off?
Already tried nail polish remover, not working. My daughter got nail polish on EVERYTHING! Door knob, tiled floor, light switch, etc. What will take it off?
You could try rubbing alcohol (not the type you drink). This should easily do the job.
If you don't have a bottle of it already, you can buy it at any pharmacy store (Walgreen, CVS etc) or grocery store should have them too.
It's usually used for anesthesizing but it works on rubbing stuff off too.My daughter got nail polish on EVERYTHING! Door knob, tiled floor, light switch, etc. What will take it off?
Lacquer thinner will remove it no problem. Be sure there is adequate ventilation. Lacquer thinner is extremely flammable, more so than gasoline so care must be taken.
HUMMM you might want to try paint thinner I am 100% sure it will work butttt you have to open all the windows and you might want to get you daughter out for a bit, for the smell is very strong!! Good luck!!!
try 'aqua net' hairspray in a can
Well, you can replace the light switch and door knob, but the tiled floor you need to call Lowe's or a supply store and ask them, most caustics will scratch up your floor. If you have extra tiles take up the bad ones and glue down the new ones.
germ x
Most nail polishes are only something like 5% acetone. The straight stuff will take the nail polish off, without the oiliness that comes with lacquer thinner or mineral spirits. But be warned, it will probably take some scrubbing and the tile grout will always be stained.
I would suggest nail polish remover or acetone. You should have some if you have nail polish at home
Nail polish remover has to work. You could try pure acetone which is the main ingredient in nail polish remover.
try turps
There's this remover thing called Goo-B-Gone... its kind of orangey, and you can get it almost anywhere, Walmart, some drug stores. It will take off anything sticky, and it is a miracle worker on nail polish.
Nail polish remover, acetone 100% , or paint thinner.

Nail polish remover not working?
for some reason lately every time i try and take off my nail polish on my fingers and toes it wont work! Ive tried different kinds of nail polish removers and none of them are taking it off.Ive had to resort to scraping it off with a nail file but i think this is damaging my nails. I never had this problem before. I only use two coats of paint so i shouldn't be having this problem. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there any other remedies to taking off nail polish?Nail polish remover not working?
Soak your nails in hot water not too hot though, and then try removing the nail polish again with the polish remover, and if it doesn't work, try doing it a couple times more, or put more acetone on the cotton pad. I wouldn't advice you to dip your nails in acetone cause your fingers will come in contact as well and its not so good for your skin. Hope I helped =)Nail polish remover not working?

This has happened to me lately too. I don't know why, but a good remover is acetone. It is VERY strong so be careful with it. You can find it at any drug store. Hope I helped!
Are you putting to many layers of polish on your nails? that could be the reason why. Though you say you only use two coats of paint, I would think then its becasue as you say you have damaged the nail surface by scrapping it off.
Basically you are going to have to wait till the nail outgrows itself seeing as there damaged, it won't take too long, and try and go without nail varnish whilst this happens. Plus I would use a protector varnish (don't know the name of any),but they would always tell you what at your Pharmacy, but its a clear substance that you put on your nails first, then add the nail varnish when its dry.
Make sure too you buy a good nail varnish remover, and meanwhile whilst your waiting for your nails to heal, cream your hands regularly and rub into your nails too. Ask at the pharmacy too for something that repairs damaged nails.
Good Luck
You can always file your nails down until the paint easy fade away. Nail polish should work. Use a cotton ball and scrubb really really hard
You have to scrub really hard, that happens to me all the time:/
It could just be because it's a thinker nail polish.
maybe your nail polish is just thick. try putting a LITTLE acetone in the nail polish so it goes on smoother and comes off easier
well if its just staining your nails put a clear coat on first. i paint my nails probably 2 times a day and thats the only problem thats happened to me. but if it's actually not coming off i would go to a beauty supply shop and buy straight acetone. its horrible for your nails but you gotta do what you gotta do. hope it gets better.
you should buy a new one like at Walmart or Target
try soaking your fingers in acetone, pure acetone, before you try to scrub the polish off.
Try saturating your nails in the polish remover.

Help i spilled nail polish remover on my coffee table, what do i do?
Can you peel any of it off? Or maybe scrape it off with a razor blade. You could always use nail varnish remover, though it may leave a mark. Eucalyptus or orange oil is pretty good for removing sticky glues and it might work on nail varnish, if left on to soften it. Maybe a hairdryer to soften it (I'm not sure if it would, but it's worth a try) and a razor blade to scrape it off. If you use nail varnish remover, there are two types, oily and non-oily, the oily one may leave a greasy mark so I'd try the other if it was me. If it leaves a mark there is a product called ';Marveer'; which will remove white rings left by coffee cups and could be useful to you. (I'm not sure if it's available in the US though) Good luck, I hope some part of this information is useful to you. Help i spilled nail polish remover on my coffee table, what do i do?
The acetone in the remover has dissolved part of the shellac or lacquer. Because the structure of the finish has been affected, you have to refinish the surface, which entails removing the old surface by one method or another and replacing it.
It'll be difficult to recreate the exact surface since you don't have the industrial spraying equipment to get a perfect coat of lacquer or shellac. You could sand it down evenly then paint, followed by a coat of polycrylic, or you could use acetone and steel wool to remove the finish from top, sides, and legs, restain, then apply a coat of polycrylic.Help i spilled nail polish remover on my coffee table, what do i do?
Hmmm, Nail Polish can stain things very quickly, especially coffee tables.
If you haven't already tried, you should put on some kind of cleaning spray, although the spray will get rid of most of the stain, there will probably still be a mark. The mark wont be that noticeable but i am afraid there is nothing else you can do.
yikes! that is gonna be sticky to get off. try painting over it. but sometimes it works with windex. just spray a lot of windex on the table. if it doesn't work paint over it. that will work.
The Divine is right. If it's not worth refinishing, you can buy a tablecloth, runner or doilies to cover the spot!

What is your favourite nail polish?
Mine is GOSH in holographic
Its a wonderful silver colour that glitters amazingly :)
Unfortunately it doesn't last long and flakes off but its easy to apply %26amp; drys really quickly.
So, whats Yours? :)What is your favourite nail polish?
I love opi's lincoln park after dark. Its so glossy and goes with any outfit and style, its a deep rich dark plumy purple but, looks dark brown when your actually wearing it. Its long lasting too, but just to really maintain its high quality apply a good topcoat like seche vite every two days. Hope this helps! What is your favourite nail polish?

barry m (:

I like black nail polish... unoriginal, I know, but other than red, which I like as well, it's the only colour that looks good on me. x)
And I don't really have a specific brand I like. xP
chrome by stargazer
I only have one GOSH one but I love it! It's a light purple colour, not sure what it is called. I love how fast it dries and how well it goes on. I like barry m but I think the brushes are a bit thin. I also like the little eyeko ones, the bottles are so cute and they go on easy and dry fast, it chips easy though.
OPI is the best. Definitely worth the money!
My faves are:

How to remove nail polish without remover?
i ran out of nail polish remover and i cant find my new one.
can i get rid of it with out remover? How to remove nail polish without remover?
use a clear polish and put a layer on top of the layer thats already on your nails. Do it one nail at a time and wipe the clear off when it's still wet. It's weird, but it works. lol goodluckHow to remove nail polish without remover?
Clair's has a nail polish that is like bright green.
But when you put it on top of your old polish.
It takes it off.
Plus if you have a buffer.
and you buff your nails with the old polish on.
It will buff your nails and take the polish off.
Hope i helped!
(best answer)!
:P
take a really light color and load a bunch on your nails and rub it off really hard (one at a time of course)
or you can run them under REALLY hot water- the color might become kinda plastic or rubbery and you can peel it off
1) put a really thick coat on your nails
2) let them dry
3) run hot water over your nails until they feel start to feel slippery enough to where you can peel them
4) peel the nail polish right off (you'll probably have to chip it off)
this sounds really weird but one time my friend removed it with other nail polish (that wasnt dry) and it worked really good. now thats what i use sometimes. who would of thought that?! aha
RUBBING ALCOHOL
Paint Nail Polish OVER the nail polish and it will get it off.
Takes a LONGG time though :p

it was an overcoat and it cracked after a few minutes does anyone know what it is?I used to have this cool nail polish?
I have seen that, it is like a crackle top coat. I don't know who makes it though, I will look a little and see if I can find it.
Ok, I found some sites that say that cover girl used to make one, in the 90's but dosn't make it any more.
I found some on ebay

How to Keep nail polish from chipping? Active person...?
Maybe its impossible....but how do I keep my nail polish from chipping off in only a day or 2.
I'm pretty active as far as house stuff goes. Dishes, Yard work etc. So maybe keeps my nail polish on is hopeless but any tips would help.
Also I usually use a base coat...color polish...top coat.
Thanks for any tips! How to Keep nail polish from chipping? Active person...?
Try for better quality branded nail polishes.
E.g Revlon offrers 6 day chip resistant nail color.
It shows a good result on me (I am a housewife and quite active). And top coat always helps. How to Keep nail polish from chipping? Active person...?
My mom did nails for 14 years. Buying good quality polish is the first thing. ';love my nails'; isnt going to cut it try OPI thats one of the best and not to expensive (4.00 ish a bottle) Then coat with clear coat. Two coats only. After that you will be adding layers just making the polish thicker and easier to crack and chip. Use two coats of good polish followed by 2 coats of a good clear coat. Thats as good as it will ever get. You probably get, If I remember ,two weeks of ware before you start seeing fading and chipping.
sally hensen (sp?) 10 day nail polish is great, so is OPI. i use OPI's base and top coat as well. they will last longer.
how are you what is your name

Thats as good as it will ever get. You probably get, If I remember ,two weeks of ware before you start seeing fading and chipping.
sally hensen (sp?) 10 day nail polish is great, so is OPI. i use OPI's base and top coat as well. they will last longer.

Ways to get nail polish out of carpet?
this whole bottel of nail polish spilled on my carpet in my dorm room.. any good ways to get it out so i dont have a huge fine?
tthanksssWays to get nail polish out of carpet?
Try 100 % pure acetone nail polish remover. Or take a piece of the carpet to a store and see if you can get a patch to replace the part you ruined.Ways to get nail polish out of carpet?
depends on color of carpet really
you can try nail polish remover (acetone) but only on light carpet colors
first scrape away all you can with a knife, then use the acetone, dab it on then use a clean cloth to dab off the polish, don't rub because it will smear then
Nail remover will work but if dry it maybe sticky by now. Yesterday morning I use my new carpet %26amp; spot lifter on sofa and it had not been in long time. So I use on spray some on spots it foams a little with wet rag and mean I saw rag look dirt and when I rinse out you can see all the dirt coming out. I recommend it you which can bough at Walmart for 3.00 in Car Selection where they sell product for cleaning the car.
omg!!
i need the same thing....its hot pink poliush with a graayish carpetr..

Do any of you use Avon nail polish?
What do you think about the quality and the colors?Do any of you use Avon nail polish?
Avon polishes are great--especially for the price. their dry in 60 second line is fantastic for someone like me who changes their nail color almost daily. The thing with Avon polish, though, is that you MUST apply a topcoat or it will chip like crazy the first day.
Is there a more specific question you wanted to ask?Do any of you use Avon nail polish?
very good quality.
big selection of colors.
lasts a while, although you have to put on two coats.
other wise, avon nail polish is great.
I THINK IT'S FINE. A NICE SELECTION FOR THE PRICE.

Why is my nail polish no more shiny?
i applied a black nail polish.it was okay till 1 day but 2day there is no shine in it.the color seems fine but its not shiny anymore.my transparent nail polish is also finished.if u hav sum idea plz help me.easy 10 points for u!Why is my nail polish no more shiny?
The only way to make it stay shiny is to apply a good layer of clear nail polish over it. You should do this every time you put on nail polish. It looks better and it helps the polish to stay on longer! Without it, the colour tends to lose its.. colour throughout the days of the week and bcome dull. Why is my nail polish no more shiny?
Your nail polish is not shiny anymore because the shine might have gotten washed away when you washed your hands and took a shower and stuff.
I hope I helped. :D

What's causing the little air bubbles in my nail polish??
This happens a lot, not all the time but quite often. I apply my nail polish and when it is completely dry I notice small bubbles have developed in it.
I apply 2 coats and I don't lay it on too thick. Also, I don't use cheap nail polish.
Whats causing it and how can I stop it form happening in the future??What's causing the little air bubbles in my nail polish??
';Bubbles may be caused by insufficient drying time between coats. If polish does not dry thoroughly between coats, solvents can push up through the top coat, forming tiny bubbles. Bubbles may also form when polish is applied too thick. The solvents will not evaporate as quickly as they should and will be trapped under the next coat of polish, forming bubbles as they try to escape. Also, vigorous shaking of the polish bottle creates bubbles in the bottle and are picked up by the brush and then transferred to the nail. Always shake bottle gently or roll between your palms. Any influence which makes polish dry unevenly can also cause bubbling (for example, high humidity, low room temperature or hot sun).';What's causing the little air bubbles in my nail polish??
dont shake your nail polish.doing so will make air bubbles in the polish. roll it between your palms instead to mix it.
It doesn't matter which brands you buy for nail polish. It might be because you haven't let the first coat dry enough. Next time, let your nail dry fully until you apply the second coat.
your nails are uneven and the surface is not smooth, air gets trapped and makes bubbles,
smooth your nails up with a buffer before applying nail polish
you can rub them with a little bit of alcohol to clean any greasy element before applying the nail polish , that always helps!
get new nail polish it's probably oldcomputer security

Has anyone used the strip nail polish sold by Avon?
Avon has these strips of nail color that you peel off and put on your nails. It's hard to imagine how they would fit right. Are they worth it?Has anyone used the strip nail polish sold by Avon?
My roomate uses them %26amp; really likes them. They don't chip and make her nails stronger. Although she also has said they're not a perfect fit. Also the polish isn't as shiny as a real manicure.Has anyone used the strip nail polish sold by Avon?
Nope. i don't think they r worth it at all. i bought them cuz i hate the smell of nail polish and thought they wouldn't smell as bad, but think again they smell horrible and they do not stick on the nail what so ever. i would not recomend geting them. a big waste of money.
Someone at my work did - the frosty pink color - and it lasted for two weeks! She loved it. All I have ever heard is good comments about them.
No, but I want to.
Oh no! I haven't tried 'em but i highly doubt they work. just stink to to womens intuition and dont get ripped off. but u can try em if there cheap and see
I personally haven't but I had a friend who did and they came out great!! i was very surprised!!
I've seen what you're talking about. I know that the quick dry polish Avon used to have would peel off really easily, I'm not sure how well this new one holds up, but I wouldn't buy it unless someone who had used it raved to me about it.
My sister-in-law sells Avon and has used them. She said that even though they are not a perfect fit they are great. Especially if you are in a big hurry to get your nail done...

Which make is good for nail polish?
i need a clear but thin nail polish. any ideas?Which make is good for nail polish?
mac, opi,Jessica. Apply 1 fine layer rather then 1 thick one you can always go over it after i think a good brush makes a good nail polish :)Which make is good for nail polish?
Try Barry M, usually available from Superdrug, or Boots Chemists.
From experience they are the longest lasting ones i have used and are really shiny.
Rimmel London or Revlon nail polishes are the best because they stay on for long and they don't chip
if you get a set for french nail manicure it contains a top coat which is a thin clear coat of nail varnish, its really good and makes your nails look superb! (any make)
xxx
Well, I don't think you can be Rimmel; fairly cheap, but pretty hard wearing!
';Out the Door';, you can get it at Sally Beauty Supply and CVS
i use revlon and rimmel
Revlon's good

Take a small lamp with a 40 watt bulb and hold it 1-2 inches away from center of small lamp.
Heheh, I blow mine with a blow dryer. It's pretty quick, if you're careful then nothing would happen to your nail polish.
let it dry for jsut a sec then put your nails in cold water
Blow Dryer, or try blowing on them lightly.

What else can you use to remove fake fingernails exept for finger nail polish remover?
acetone dissolves the nails within about 5 minutes. just soak your fingertips in the acetone and don't worry, the acetone doesn't burn your skin. What else can you use to remove fake fingernails exept for finger nail polish remover?
100% acetone. Everything else will take hours and so your skin will be damaged. Don't let someone use those nippers, like cuticle nippers to chip them away either!! It hurts! And they tear up your nail so it takes a year to get them normal again. What else can you use to remove fake fingernails exept for finger nail polish remover?
i didnt know fingernail polish could remove them at all. i just go to the place where i got them on. they can get them off real fast and pain free... its like 10 bucks, and the fastest easiest thing u can do. trust me!
the only thing i know to remove those things is nail polish remover but you have to have the one that has acetone in it you may have to let your fingers soak in them and keep trying to lift them but real slow you don't want to rip your natural nail
good luck

Does nail polish help to cure (toe-nail) fungal infection?
I've been having nail infection for 5 years, and i;ve tried the Daktarin ( miconazole 20mg/mL) for sometime and it didn't work well on me. I am wondering if nail polish work because ( it might sounds funny) i realised that my nail is gettin better after i painted it with nail polish. What other treatments are the most effective besides taking medicines? and what other substances can be used to treat the infection?
thanks %26gt;.%26lt;Does nail polish help to cure (toe-nail) fungal infection?
Nail polish will only make the symptoms worse as it's covering the infection up. There are no real solutions to treating an infection other than medicine. If you have artificial nails, they will need to come off so the underneath ';real'; nail can heal properly.Does nail polish help to cure (toe-nail) fungal infection?
There is nothing that will cure this infection other than anti biotics. The polish is just hiding the infection.
I've never know anyone to get 'cured' through wearing nail polish. I was at Sally's the other day and they had quite a few products that you might look at. I was surprised at some of the claims that a few of them made. Might find something worthwhile there!
i really dont think it does
Absolutely not.
they got some stuff for that at walmart
My brother-in-law used Listerine (yes the mouthwash!) on his toe nails and it worked!! Good luck!
not that i am aware of.
talk to your dr. about other options to treat your nail infection.
hope this helps.
i don't think so. nail polish can only hide the infection but not really cure it.
No. The fungi is internal, try ';Lamisil';.computer security

Nail polish will only make the symptoms worse as it's covering the infection up. There are no real solutions to treating an infection other than medicine. Why does nail polish get really gooey after a while?
The solvent in the nail polish evaporates, leaving behind a more concentrated material, which can turn into a gel or gooey glob. You can sometimes rejuvenate the nail polish by adding more of the solvent (typically acetone). Why does nail polish get really gooey after a while?

finger nail polish is a suspension, the dissolved particles are still floating around and eventually separate
well it gets old and just goes bad, then its harder to use. i am a drama queen though, so this would be no suprise to miy friends that i am answering this!! some crappy brands just dont make them as well. it just dries out from being opened so much and the trapped air in them. some people put nail polish remover in it and it refreshes it, but i dont think it would work. but the wet and wild works great, you could even mix some of them yourself for a fun color just for you. sometimes its good to put them in the refrigerater so they stay fresh. but make sure it is in a bottle that is sealed tight so it doesnt ruin your food. If the bottle was not sealed tight or you had a buildup of excess polish on the rim it will let air get in and start to harden and clump your remaining polish. Also if you let it set and do not shake it before you use it the oil will not dilute it like it should and it can harden. If you do your nails often buying the better brands like OPI helps too with the higher quality.

Getting red nail polish out of white carpet?
Near impossible, but try Spotshot (its sold at Sams club, target, wal-mart, CVS, and walgreens for very cheap) and it will most likely work.Getting red nail polish out of white carpet?
Nail Polish Remover and Clorox bleach, or began searching of another color of carpet-- in the meantime , get a throw rug of your choice and cover the spotGetting red nail polish out of white carpet?
If your carpet is white, I would try simple nail polish remover. I know it works but will bleach your carpet. I would assume if your carpet is already white, then remover couldn't hurt.
Put some nail polish remover on top and rub it off then you pour some hot water on it then dry it off with a hair dryer if it doesnt work try another detergent.
you can try first with your own nail varnish remover or with white spirits , use cotton wool and always work inward from the stain, then wash with a little of your own hair shampoo ,it works just as good, rinse well and lay a towel with a heavy object on top over the wet patch . This will help soak up any water from the underside of your carpet , leave like this over night then allow to dry with natural air
i looked around on the internet and try windex........good luck with that haha......dont worry its me......i told u to come here and i hope they gave you some pretty good advice
WINDEX or SHOUT really worked! Had this problem before and even recommended the Windex to a friend who tried the Shout. She said she saw it on the internet. Who knew? Give it a try. What have you got to lose?
try spotshot or any other rug cleaner

Does putting nail polish in the fridge make it easier to apply and give it a longer shelf life?
Yes, it does. I go through my polish so fast that I never need to, but if you are going to have a bottle of polish for more than a month or two you should store it in the refrigerator. My mom does it with hers, and it stays the same consistency as when she purchased it.Does putting nail polish in the fridge make it easier to apply and give it a longer shelf life?

Black nail polish on long nails?
Do you think black nail polish looks good or bad on long nails?Black nail polish on long nails?
Well the style gurus say to only put dark polishes on short nails, but to me it looks really bad, l.ike your nails all fell off or you have some nasty infection in them. I prefer long nails with dark polish. The only way I think short nails look good are with a natural look (clear or very light polishes)Black nail polish on long nails?
Unless you are doing it for Halloween or trying out for Morticia, don't make it too long or too plain.
To avoid making it too vampirish/punky, try decorate them with rhinestones or flowery stickers.
I don't think it looks good on long nails unless you put a hint of color on top. I did yellow polka dots over black one time and it looked cute. :-)
i personally think it looks super cute on short nails, but a bit too creppy on long nails.
it would look a little too '; plaine '; but i love black nail colors But since it's long nails i say put gold shimmering tips on them. It would look so cute.
Personally, I think that black nail polish on long nails looks '; bad '; on long nails. The length of the nails will only pronounce the black nail polish. The longer the nails, the more that are noticeable. So,with black nail polish, it just isn't appealing. Nails that are medium length can be polished with just about any color. But, for some reason, long black nails are not attractive. Just an opinion. My daughter loves black nail polish but, her nails are mainly short to medium length. For whatever reason, long black nails are just not '; in ';.
horrible. black nail polish only looks decent on short nails.
I think it would look great with a little bit of nail art.

How does nail polish dry?
By the evaporation of the alcohol in the fluid, leaving only the colouring chemicals, which harden, and are a bloody nuisance to get off anything! How does nail polish dry?
Nail varnish contains acetone which is a solvent that evaporates at room temperature on exposure to the air. That is what the smell is and why it takes longer to dry when it is cold... and why it dries out if you don't put the lid back on properly. The colouring part is mixed with the acetone in the bottle to dilute it and to prevent it bonding. As you apply it, it thickens as the acetone evaporates; allowing the molecules to join up in firm bonds which are left behind on the nail as a sheet of colour. The varnish is stronger if it is built up with a few thin layers rather than one thick coat. Some varnishes add nylon or silk to encourage and strengthen the bonding process.
Nail varnish remover is also acetone and breaks up the bonds of the varnish, liquifying it again.
Clever heh?How does nail polish dry?
Once spread out the solvent evaporates and allows the varnish to form a tough coat.

Slowly.
same way paint does. but my varnish is always lumpy
How long does it take for nail varnish to dry?
Nail varnish does not dry, it sets. It is a varnish rather like gloss paint and it needs time to fully harden. A least an hour after you leave should be allowed before the varnish is fully set.
A combination of exposure to the air and chemical evaporation.

Why does nail polish with glitter in it seem so much harder to remove?
Because that glitter is actually little metalic pieces. Like taking polish of that has grit in it.Why does nail polish with glitter in it seem so much harder to remove?
The seem harder to remove, because it IS harder to remove. Nail polish with glitter than is not evenly despersed, and when the polish part of it is thick, then yes it's hard to remove because the thicker the polish, the stickier it is. So, the 4-5 sparkles that are on one nail are stuck there with the sticky polish. Does that make any sense to anyone other than me?Why does nail polish with glitter in it seem so much harder to remove?
I know!! Totally!! it's a pain...
its because the glitter is stronger and more slick so when you go to take it off its like a wall and you have to scrub to get it off try using a old ripped wash cloth because it has ridges so good luck
yeah I don't know why though
The acetone (ingredient in the remover) is meant to dissolve nail polish. Glitter in the nail polish is not made of the same ingredients as the nail polish, it's just glitter inside the nail polish and that does not dissolve. So that's why it may take you longer to take it off.
I agree. here is my secret I only put on my toes cause it seem to want it stay on longer so then I don't have to deal with them as much. As for getting off my fingers well I got that under control. I buy only nail polishes that have the glitter in it and never to much. Apply it dark but as thin as possible. so when I want to take it off it flakes right off.
Hope it helps girls
idk. but I do that so my nail polsh won't chip off! lol, it works!
they put more ingredients in the polish when theres glitter so the glitter doesnt clump or seperate, so it may be harder for the glitter to sepereate from the polish but it also makes the polish harder to seperate from your nail .. lol. you could just buy like those colorama nail polishs.. you get a base coat and then a sparkly top coat looks good too.. doesnt chip
because it tends to be a lot thicker and have more adhesives so the glitter won't flake off out of the polish.
I'm not sure either. I use to have that problem. But I switch nail polish remover.
they put a special chemical in it that is sticky to keep the sparkles in place so it sticks to your nail much more than regular nail polish does.
because there is like glue stuff in it i totally know what u mean

Does any nail polish come off easy?
Im a partime crossdresser who wants to try nail polish but im too afraid to put it on if it wont come off. Any suggestions?Does any nail polish come off easy?
You can get a Covergirl Peelers. It's regular nail polish but then you peel it off afterwards.Does any nail polish come off easy?
Fingernail remover will take it right off
you can any nail polish to come off with acetone. you can go to ur local grocery store or cvs/eckards/walmart/etc. and get it. it can take off nail glue too. its a pretty strong chemical but it does the trick everytime for me, especially with the hard to get off glitter nail polish.
Put it on carefully, hun. It's harder to gett off from inside the cuticles than on the nail itself. And don't be impatient! Wait for it to dry completely before doing anything else.
When you really want to give it a good test make sure you use at least two coats; three is better.
Keep a q-tip handy with the acetone polish remover so you can get into the cuticles if necessary. I bet you want to make sure you get Every Little Drop off. You can dip your finger into small container, like an old film canister, with remover in it and soak a bit, but only as a last resort! The acetone is NASTY. Use a moisturiser afterwards.
Oh, and there's a little tool to push the skin down at the base of the nail before you start.
Keep it on your toes, and nail polish remover takes it right off.
there's the nail polish remover the same place you buy your nail polish
yeah my little sis bought from the doller store or doller tree.and comes off easy
nail polish comes off as easy as paint.
if you use a ';base'; coat (clear coat) it will come off even easier.
to remove, wet a cotton ball with nail poilsh remover and place on the nail and hold it there for about 30 seconds give or take and wipe it off.
if you have fake nails on, use (non- acetone) nail polish remover. Acetone in the remover desinigrates the fake or acrilic nail.
Everything comes off easy with nail polish remover!

Q: What is the best nail polish remover? I heard Tony and Tina have a one that contains botanicals. Is it better to use a polish of this type rather than something I buy at the drugstore?
A: Thank you for your question. To be honest, I don't see the point in spending a lot of money on polish removers. I'm sure Tony and Tina is a great brand and the part botanical oils/part remover is a great concept, but using your favorite hand cream or cuticle cream after removing old polish would work just as well to moisturize dry cuticles. I've tried the T%26amp;T brand before and I found it didn't do anything that any other nail polish remover can do.
There are many lower-end brands of nail polish remover that are just as good as pricier brands like Tony and Tina or Nailtiques. My favorites are Sally Hansen and Cutex. If you have natural nails you may want to use a non-acetone formula as acetone can be harsh on the nails. If you have artificial wraps or tips, you must use non-acetone polish remover because acetone can erode or even ';melt'; the nail tip or wrap. Both Cutex and Sally Hansen make moisturizing formulas with ingredients like vitamin E as well as nail strengthening formulas because nails can be left very dry after removing nail polish. It's always best to follow up with hand or cuticle cream.
Hope this helps!

I seem to be allergic to nail polish. Does anyone know what in nail polish I could be allergic to?
It's more like what is in nail polish that doesn't contribute to allergic-type symptoms. Loads of toxins. Your symptoms probably aren't allergies, your body is reacting appropriately to a poison and trying to get it out of you!
For all sorts of reasons, people have varying thresholds for when and how they react to these toxins.
There have been some studies done recently which show higher rates of illness amongst nail salon workers. Including those who do other things in the same shop. You're breathing in less of it, so your symptoms are less. But it's still hurting you.
Is the risk to your health worth it?I seem to be allergic to nail polish. Does anyone know what in nail polish I could be allergic to?

What color nail polish should I get?
I'm going into high school and I figured if I paint my nails I'd stop biting them.
I have dark blonde hair like a dirty blonde only darker
and i'm kinda like her skin color http://msnbcmedia2.msn.com/j/msnbc/Compo鈥?/a>
and my hair is darker than hers by a few shades?
What color nail polish should I get?
try darks.. like dark blue, navy blue, burgundy, and blacks.. also.. try lime green and some brights..they look good on almost everyone.. : )What color nail polish should I get?
these nail polishes are amazing. they're only 97 cents at target and they work just as well as my opi and essie colors. i like the skin tight denim which is a dark metallic navy blue and the pink promenade which is a bright hot pink. they last a long time too :]
Usually, people paint their nails according to what they're wearing. I recommend that you try to mix and match with your nail polish and your apparel. Blues match pretty much anything, so yeah. Hope this helps.
I think by what you told me that you should go for dark blue.
my sister look kind of like you and she loves to wear dark blue and it looks amazing on her!
what ever color you like.
buy a french manicure kit, you can buy it at any drugstore, or like target or something..

and i'm kinda like her skin color http://msnbcmedia2.msn.com/j/msnbc/Compo鈥?/a>
and my hair is darker than hers by a few shades?

HELP!!! My brother accidentally tried to remove nail polish from my LEATHER COUCH with polish remover!!!?
It took away the chocolate brown colour and left a bright orange rusty mark!!! HOW DO I FIX THIS!? My parents are out of town until tomorrow afternoon, is there any way to fix this!? The couches are less than a month old!HELP!!! My brother accidentally tried to remove nail polish from my LEATHER COUCH with polish remover!!!?
Don't panic, and call the company it was purchased from and ask them if they have repair service since it is still under the warranty.
If not, then you can try shoe polish.....
I don't envy you! Good luck!!!HELP!!! My brother accidentally tried to remove nail polish from my LEATHER COUCH with polish remover!!!?
Please please do not use any of these methods as it will make the matter far worse and may make it unfixable.
You have removed the top coat of the finish on the leather (it sounds like the leather is what we call a two-tone leather, one colour on top of another). The top colour will need replacing professionally as it is not a simple process if you do not know what you are doing. The colour has to be matched specifically and applied to match the rest of the leather.
Please just come clean to your mum and then help her arrange to get it fixed properly.
No- He PURPOSELY tried to remove the damage that had already been done. Don't make it any worse by bumbling around in an amateurish fashion. Admit your mistake - go to the professionals and fix it properly.
It will not be half as bad if you do it right in the first place!
go to a craft store like michaels and get some leather stainer try to find a color that mathes your couch and paint over it it should work and there should be a perfect color to match it.
YOU CAN TRY AND FIND A BROWN MARKER TO MATCH IT TO YOU CAN ALL SO TRY OLD DARK ENGLISH
FURNITURE IT COMES IN LIGHT OR DARK
IF THIS DON,T WORK YOU MOST LIKELY HAVE TO TELL THEM

Best color nail polish on toes/fingers with black and white dress?
i'm going to homecoming ina black and white dress with a small heel open toe shoe. Does anyone have suggestions for a color for my toes and nails?Best color nail polish on toes/fingers with black and white dress?
Red would be perfect!Best color nail polish on toes/fingers with black and white dress?
iridescent, pearl, or red.
definetely red, the one I'm thinking of is called ';corvette red';.
How about either black or a French manicure?
what color corsage are you going to have, match that, if not, go neutral.
A nice cherry red for contrast. PLEASE don't even consider black.
light pink
I would say clear or maybe a nude colour
i think white on your fingers and black on yur toes would be TOO ADORABLE!!
Fuchsia.
Gold
Silvery white
French manicure
I'm Not Really A Waitress by OPI. It is an AWESOME red.
Fire Engine Red? It depends on the effect you want. White, clear, pale pink and french manicure are all very good ideas if you want to be demure, but blazing red would look smashing if you have nicely shaped nails.
go for some neutral or white, you don't want it to stand out too much, maybe a french or a light pink.
Neutral shades, preferably French manicure for fingers and clear for toes. Pale pink and taupe will also work.
clear french tips
Pearl or French will complement
Go with a simple french manicure for both. If you want to jazz it up just a little add a little clear jewel on the pinkie nails on your hands and on the big toes on your feet.
A deep red is nice. I wear one by Sally Hansen (hard as nails) #31 on my toes and don't wear any polish on my fingers so i would go with a french manicure on them.
go with an pink french tip with diamonds

Is black nail polish for girls the new trend?
Ok so..2 girls in my class that are pretty fashionable have their nails painted black. one is preppy and the other one is..slightly ghetto..maybe slightly preppy. i dont know..and then my sister who is preppy has her nails painted black. and then my sister's friend's mom said that black nail polish is the new thing and everyone has black nail polish. and her daughter does too. i guess its true. what do you think? Is black nail polish for girls the new trend?
Its not really a new trend. If anything its a phase.
My school has already gone threw the black nail polish phase. Is black nail polish for girls the new trend?
I've been painting mine black for three years.
I guess it's in now, I don't know.
It is a bit of a trend. Even People Magazine noticed celebrities wearing black nail polish (http://offtherack.people.com/2006/08/15/鈥?/a> ). Also, in the movie The Devil Wears Prada, you will see the character Emily, played by Emily Blunt, wearing black nail polish throughout the movie.
its kind of a new look but you have to have short nails to wear black nail polish cause if not you look weird:
|it is just kids trying to stand out from the others.
it was more of a trend last winter
i think it looks good with winter clothes like sweaters
I see some celebrities and models wearing black nail polish but I don't find it all that flattering. Just the color doesn't look right in my opinion on somebodys nails.
Besides, dont just do something to be following a trend.
Be your own person.
I know I've noticed that too!! At my school last year I saw soooo many girls with black nails. I really didn't want to paint my nails black, so I decided to paint them am eggplant color. I read in a magazine that lots of stars have dark colored nails. It said that if you want to paint them, paint them black, dark brown, burgandy, or eggplant color and keep your nails short. Short is chic long is trashy for dark nails.
I personally think black nail polish is HURENDOUS, but it seems to be pretty in. If you like it, than you should wear it. But don't give in to peer pressure if you don't like it and decide to wear it because everyoune else does.
Hope I helped %26lt;3
ha whatever. i'm not gonna even try. black nail polish is disgusting.
no its not the new thing!
you just look like a goth really
Truly, I think that its what you are feeling. The way you put it, it sounds like the people are probably following. I wear black nail polish because balck=attitude. So, I don't think balck nail polish is in. Goths have been wearing it forever. So how can that be?
Kinda, AND U DONT LOOK LIKE A GOTH with black nail polish, Im a prep and I wear it... I just think it looks pretty and elegant :-)
yes! black nail polish, and darker polishes is a new trend that a lot of people are wearing if you want to see new fall trends in makeup or in nail polish, read the august and up-in-comming september issues of cosmogirl! magizine. it has a whole beauty section devoted to back-to-school and fall/winter 07.
